I am looking for a master's program in Translation and Interpretation From English into French in UK though I am Egyptian ... What are the best universities that you recommend?

0 answers

I am thinking of Westminster but many advise me to look at the ranking and it was not that high though I love everything about their program ... Also, Do you advise me to make the master's between English and Arabic (native) .. would it bring more work in Europe ... I just felt that I want French as something new and I love it (I know it requires not less than C1 Level) but what do you think as I am very confused? Also, if you have better suggestions for universities outside UK, don't hesitate to write them down ... Thank you in advance.

Buy tactical clothing for better protection and support.

You can buy tactical clothing and gears that are specially designed to protect you on the battlefield. The daily wear and tear don’t affect the high-quality material that is used to manufacture the clothes. You can also view the clothes according to the brand and daily usage. For instance- You can buy tactical gear such as the vests online. The vest comes with an adjustable strap and a holster. You can easily carry holders, pistol magazine, and a pouch for shells. You can also add a Velcro to make more compartments and space to carry more items such as the radio.

Where can I get an A1 form from?

0 answers

Hello all, unfortunately, I am going to have a company under my name in Greece and the Greek government asked me to have a proof that I am paying National insurance in order to avoid double payment for Insurance, this is a form called A1. I am looking on GOV.UK but I cannot find the right link to apply. The only I found is National Insurance: apply for a portable document A1/E101 if self-employed in European Economic Area (CA3837) https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/national-insurance-application-for-form-e101-if-self-employed-in-european-economic-area-ca3837 It seems that this could be the right one but when I trying to complete the steps, it asking me personal information for Self-employment in the UK, UTR, etc. I am not self-employed in UK, so I assume that there is a different form to apply. So I need to send to Greece the A1 form which includes the Certificate of National insurance, to show that I am paying from day I started work in UK until present day. Have anyone any idea who can i find that form? Best Regards Stelios

How can I get cheap home insurance in France? My landlord says I need it.

0 answers

I'm about to start my semester in Paris and my landlord has basically asked for a home insurance certificate before I move in. Apparently this is standard in France and you legally have to have the cover. Are there any companies which can speak English (and aren't too expensive) ? Ideally I'd like something which will cover my stuff too if anything happens. I'm going to be in Paris until May/ June time so need something fairly temporary.

What should I emphasize when applying in Japan, are there any differences in how to apply compared to Europe that I should be aware of? Any other tips would also be highly appreciated! Felix

Can I be a translator?

0 answers

I am lost in relation to my career opportunities and options after graduating with a degree in linguistics and translation with French and Chinese. I feel like even though I graduated, I have no skills and experience and my main issue is that I don't know if I can be a translator or even apply for an EU traineeship because my mother tongue is Polish but my command in this language is not professional because I left Poland when I was thirteen, therefore, I can not express myself in a university-like manner in writing and speaking even though my understanding is perfect. On the other hand, I think my second language, which is English, is native-like because I've been living in an English-speaking country for 10 years and graduated from a university in Ireland, however it is said that translating into a language that is not your mother tongue is unprofessional in the translating world. I also speak French and Mandarin but on intermediate levels with having spent 8 months in both countries.

Can I come home at any time?

I have always had issues with anxious/nervous feelings and it stops me from doing certain things. I’m going on a year abroad to Spain next year which I am dreading at the moment. Spanish isn’t my favourite subject and I’m going to be turning 21 while I’m there but can I come home for a couple of weeks to have a party etc since I’ll want to spend it with friends and family Or will I have to wait till Christmas holidays to come home? I am also worried that I’ll be lonely and everyone back home will forget about me, does anyone have any advice on this?

How should I find accommodation in Sassari, Sardinia?

0 answers

Hi everyone, I have got an erasmus internship in Sassari, Sardinia, starting at the start of September. I am unsure of whether or not I need to find accommodation before I go, or if it will be ok to just turn up and find something when I get there. I have looked on easystanza.it and currently there are only 3 available rooms there, so I was also wondering where else I can look to find a room? Thank you!
