What is the best way to use a phone in Germany? Is there a German GiffGaff?
If I were to move to Germany, which would be the best and cheapest way for me to use my old iPhone? Are there pay-as-you-go networks with Internet included like GiffGaff in the UK? I will probably have to continue paying my current phone contract so a cheap additional one I could get with a German SIM would be great.

Hey. I'm in Germany atm and got a contract sim with my UK phone. I have bought a German phone out here with a Sim card called Congstar where I top up 15 Euros or so each time. So I would just said make sure your Iphone is unlocked and then buy a German sim card as you will soon have German numbers before you know it. I find it useful having a UK phone and a German phone.
I'm currently in Berlin and bought a pay as you go Blau.de SIM from the supermarket. You have to register it online and pick which bundle you want, I picked the flat rate internet one which gets me 1GB for €9,90 per month and then calls and texts are 9 cents per minute/text. I find that 1GB is plenty but it you run out its €3 for another 1GB. And you can set up a direct debit to top it up every month or most supermarkets and pharmacies sell them. Hope this helps!!
