What's wrong with me?

1 answers

For the past few months, I've been feeling super down, then normal with a few elated bits thrown in, then really upset. It is usually in that cycle, and he sadness can last for anywhere from a few minutes to weeks on end while the normal usually only lasts a few days. The elated bits only seem to appear while I'm feeling normal, and they only last for a few minutes to a few hours. I have no idea what's going on, can someone help?

Is it difficult to rent/buy a car for your year abroad?

2 answers

I will be working in a small town near Milan, but I would really like to live in the city. It's not a great commute via public transport and would be really easy by car, but I'm not sure whether it's worth the hassle of trying to rent a car on a semi long-term basis. Has anyone done something similar?

Any advice on how to meet people on your third year abroad?

6 answers

I'm currently in Valencia but I'm working as a language assistant and so haven't met anyone through work and my flat mates are never in. I have anxiety so it's already hard for me to meet people but I'm just feeling more and more depressed as I don't have anything to do for the long weekend I have and I just really want to return to the UK

What do I do about healthcare in Switzerland?

3 answers

I'm preparing for my year abroad in Geneva, but I've been struggling to find any consistent information on what I'll need in terms of healthcare and insurance. I know about the EHIC card (although information on this is still pretty vague), but what services will it actually cover? Will I need insurance on top of it just to be sure? If there's anyone who has experienced this themselves and could explain to me how it works, I'd really appreciate it!
