Making mistakes abroad?
How do you get over the fear of making mistakes whilst speaking? I'm very shy and not confident in speaking anyway but I'm kind of worried about making mistakes, especially in Italy speaking Italian which is a fairly new language for me.

Firstly, absolutely everyone gets nervous when practicing their target language amongst native speakers, so you're not alone!
Another student has asked a similar question and, as you'll see, we recommended this article on dealing with the year abroad as an introvert. It's a really fantastic read so hopefully it will be reassuring :)
