Improving my confidence?

Basically, I'm an incredibly shy/introverted person and I was wondering if anyone had any tips on being able to improve my confidence (mainly) in speaking in the foreign language, please? I'm going abroad next year. I study French and Italian so any advice related to those languages would be great too.
