How many places are available for the 2-month ETA placements in India ?

Hello, Im interested in the ETA in India programme, here are my questions: - How many places are available for the 2 month placments? - When will we find out the outcome of our applications? - What will happen during the assessment centre day? - Is it possible to have a skype interview if currently abroad? Thanks!

    Hi there,

Great to hear that you are interested in the Teaching Assistant programme in India.

We have 200 placements available this year. Within these there are not a set amount of 2 month placements. It depends on how many schools request 2 months as a preference. However if you request a 2 month placement this is the length of placement you will be allocated.

In terms of the timeline, applications close this Friday 19 February. Applications will then be quality assessed and shortlisted candidates will be invited to our assessment days. These take place in March and April and shortlisted candidates will be informed at least 5 days before the day whether they should attend. We hope to let all candidates know by the end of April whether they have successfully passed the interview stage. At that point they will need to pay the placement fee to confirm their place and be matched to a school.

Successful candidates will receive final confirmation of their school in May.

In terms of the assessment day this will be a combination of a group exercise and an individual interview. If candidates are abroad it may be possible to organise a Skype interview but ideally we would like all candidates to attend the assessment day.

I hope this answers all your queries. We look forward to receiving your application. Don't forget the deadline is thie Friday 19 February!
