How many days before my erasmus term begins, shall I fly out?

Hi there, I am about to start my year abroad, and was wondering whether arriving three days before the term begins would suffice in terms of preparation, or whether I should depart much earlier. This would include setting up a bank account, sorting out internet access, registering in the country, and basic shopping. Thanks.

    Hi Arnie,

3 days might be a little bit tight if you want to get everything set up before your term starts.

You might very well be able to get everything sorted in that time but it will most likely involve a lot of rushing around!

If you'd like a more relaxed start to the year abroad, we would recommend arriving around a week beforehand. However, if you don't get everything sorted by the time term starts it won't be the end of the world, so don't worry!
