Has anyone studied at a French university for their third year abroad?

If so, do you have any advice concerning pros and cons of the university? I have the option to go to the université d'Angers, Université Catholique de l'Ouest, Tours, Pau, Université de Lorraine (Nancy 2), Grénoble, Chambéry, or Troyes. Anyone got any advice?

Hey! I'm currently halfway through my year studying at UPPA (Pau). I'm loving it but a few bits of advice..

Expect a lot of paperwork! It is genuinely never ending so try not to get bogged down by it..

Pau is a lovely town but it's very small, and so is the uni - fine for me as I'm not a big city girl but it definitely doesn't have the bustle of a city!

Also getting to Pau from the UK isn't the easiest - the airport only flies domestically so you have to fly to toulouse or Bordeaux!

Hope that helps slightly :) good luck!

Hi Tia - I went to Chambery (Université de Savoie) and absolutely loved it! You can read my TYA article about it all, here: http://www.thirdyearabroad.com/french/item/2266-mole-in-chambery.html
