Do I continue to receive my maintenance grant whilst abroad - not in Europe..?

Hi if anyone can shed some light on this been trying to find information about this on the student finance website. I've seen that I can get up to £6600 maintenance loan whilst studying abroad, if I receive a maintenance grant whilst here in the UK am I able to get this whilst studying abroad? Thankyou in advance!

It depends on how much Erasmus grant you will be getting. I got the full Erasmus grant AND i was being paid because I was doing an internship, so I didn't get the maintenance grant. But if you're not getting the Erasmus grant then you will get your maintenance grant.

I received the Erasmus grant and a slightly reduced Maintenance Grant while on my year abroad last year (spent both terms studying), but I don't know if it will have changed. Some friends who were doing the Language Assistantship didn't get as much student finance as a result of being paid a lot for that, so you might want to bear that in mind. But if you get it at home, you should be able to get it abroad too :)

I am currently a language assistant in France and received my maintenance loan as normal despite being paid a salary and receiving the Erasmus grant. I'm also almost certain all my friends who are studying abroad did too. In terms of the amount, mine actually went up slightly due to being abroad but I'm not sure if that is standard or not.

Oh I forgot to mention I won't be studying in Europe so I will be unable to get an ERASMUS grant, am I still entitled to maintenance grant if I'm studying outside of Europe.
