We're delighted that you're considering a year (or semester) abroad as part of your University of Leicester undergraduate degree. Within the International Office we will often refer to exchanges under two different categories, Study Abroad or Erasmus+. Study Abroad programmes are generally used for exchange destinations outside of Europe, but also includes non-EU countries and Erasmus+ funding destinations such as South Africa and South Korea. Erasmus exchanges are used for our Erasmus partner universities within the EU. Study Abroad and Erasmus is supported by the Mobility Team and we work together to help you make the most of your time abroad.
