Abertay University

Aberystwyth University
You can apply to spend a semester or academic year at one of our partner universities as part of your Aberystwyth University degree. It doesn't add any time to your degree, but replaces a portion of your time at Aberystwyth. This will usually be during your second year of study and all grades obtained at the partner university will be converted to their AU equivalent and contribute to your degree.
Aston University
Students who are studying either International Business and Management or International Business and Modern Languages are required to take their placement overseas. However any student can choose to go abroad. The options for the placement year include an international study exchange, a work placement overseas, or, in some cases, a combination of both.
Bangor University
If you have ever wondered about taking a gap year, or a trip over the summer and have regretted not doing so, then our study abroad programmes give you the opportunity to really make the most of your study experience. Traditionally, British students would go abroad during their second year of university and would transfer back to Bangor the credits they had gained. Bangor has introduced a new system whereby you can take an ‘International Experience Year’. On successful completion of your four-year degree you will graduate ‘with international experience’ added to your degree title.
Bath Spa University

If you have applied for a Certificate in Global Citizenship, then your Erasmus+ or International Exchange placement will count towards the programme.

This includes the chance to study in countries such as Brazil and the USA. If you choose to study or work abroad with Erasmus + you'll benefit from a grant that will cover part of the costs during your stay. We also welcome students and staff to visit our university.

Bournemouth University
Studying abroad is an incredible opportunity to experience a new country and culture while continuing your degree. There are various options for studying elsewhere in the EU under the Erasmus+ Student Mobility Programme, as well as for travelling further afield to one of our partner institutions in Asia or North America. All of our study exchanges are faculty and, in some cases, course-specific, ensuring that you have suitable choices to match your academic pathway and receive credits for your study. Courses are normally delivered in English, with local language courses also available, or in some cases required. Applications for study exchange places are competitive, and you will be selected on the basis of your academic performance, a personal statement, ambassadorial qualities and a suitable academic reference.
Buckinghamshire New University
Our students have two opportunities to study abroad: the overseas programme or the European Erasmus+ Programme. The latter runs with the support of the British Council a National Agency for the Erasmus+ Programme and the European Commission. This overseas programme gives you the opportunity to live and study for one semester in certain countries outside Europe. The European Union-funded Erasmus Programme offers the same opportunity for Europe.
Canterbury Christ Church University
As a current undergraduate student, you have the opportunity to study abroad to gain experience studying at a partner institution in Europe on the Erasmus Programme. If you choose to study during your exchange you are able to stay from 3 to 12 months, alternatively if you choose to work, you are able to remain on the programme for 2 to 12 months.
Cardiff Metropolitan University

Cardiff University
We support students who are considering, or currently spending, a period of time abroad on a study or work placement, or who are interested in taking part on short-term programme including, study, work and volunteering opportunities. Students are able to apply for placements across Europe and internationally through a number of recognised schemes as part of their degree programme. We also provide support for incoming International and European exchange students.
City University London
City University London offers exchange opportunities at partner institutions around the world. Student exchange durations can vary between one term to an entire academic year, dependent on the School you are currently studying at. Taking part in an exchange is a great way to get even more out of your university experience, meet colleagues in your field in other countries and benefit from the expertise of the academics at our partner institutions. There are a range of scholarships and grants available to support your stay abroad, and most partner institutions will have support available for students with disabilities.
Coventry University
In the increasingly global context of trade and recruitment, competition for graduate jobs has become fiercer than ever. Students and graduates with an international profile are favourably positioned to seize the best employment opportunities. The Centre for Global Engagement (CGE) has a catalogue of opportunities to help Coventry University students and recent graduates acquire the skills and attributes to gain international experience and become globally-employable. These opportunities include study, work and/or volunteering abroad, field trips, international projects and competition. Where no funding is otherwise available, CGE provides financial support towards travelling and subsistence costs through its International Experience Grants. Language classes in 19 languages are also offered every year to help prepare for experiences abroad through the Linguae Mundi programme.
De Montfort University
All undergraduate students are eligible to study abroad with Erasmus+, as long as the exchange takes place within one of your faculty’s partner institutions, and the exchange period must be full-time, even if you are normally a part-time student at DMU. Students study abroad in their second year at DMU, and the exchange period must last a minimum of 3 months and a maximum of 12 months.
Durham University
Durham University has over 240 student exchange agreements under the Erasmus+ and International Exchange programmes. Our partner institutions are spread across the globe from Austria to New Zealand! Almost 300 Durham students every year take the opportunity to spend a period abroad and we welcome over 370 students to Durham from our partner institutions each year.
Edge Hill University
There are a range of opportunities for you to spend time abroad whilst studying at Edge Hill. Where you can go will depend on the course you are doing, and what is available to students for that academic year. The International Office often has some exciting opportunities for students to go abroad. Students will be made aware of what is available each year when on your course.
Edinburgh Napier University
