1. Erasmus Work Placements Erasmus funding is not just for students wishing to study abroad - you could work abroad and still receive the same amount, possibly plus a salary! You can find a placement (traineeship/internship) for 3 to 12 months in an enterprise or organisation in another participating country. Find out more and read the Erasmus Student Charter. 2. IAESTE Any undergraduate students studying science, engineering and applied arts, can apply for the IAESTE scheme, to get work experience overseas. It is a scheme which usually lasts approximately 8-12 weeks, from any time between June and September, although there are exceptions to this rule. Get in touch with one of their representatives to see what’s what. 3. Generation UK If you’re looking for a new adventure why not consider a Generation UK internship in either China or India? Study for 6-12 months in a University or gain work experience in a choice of industries for 2 months (including teaching). Check the British Council Study Work Create website for application deadlines. 4. Thailand English Teaching Programme Work in a Thai school as an English Teaching Assistant and become an integral part of life in a Thai village or town! Find out more here.

If you're preparing to spend time abroad, it's worth considering a Fair FX currency card instead of setting up a foreign bank account. Find out more!
