GG at your university: information for Study Abroad Coordinators At Birmingham University

This article was written by Global Graduates, published on 4th November 2010 and has been read 4880 times. was created to provide all the year abroad information we wish we'd had before we left, and we need to keep the site fresh and up-to-date! We're asking first and second years to get involved by telling us what they're worried about and inspiring fourth years to share as much information as possible about every aspect of their time away - planning, arriving, accommodation, money, courses, job-hunting, culture shock... the works! That way the site will remain the number one free resource for year abroad students!

Please do encourage your students to write for us and ask and answer questions - everything they contribute to the site will appear on your university's page to help you promote your uni's International Office!

We think exhibiting at university study abroad fairs and giving pre-departure/welcome back talks is the most effective way of showing students the importance of taking a year abroad, helping them prepare, spreading the word about what we're up to and getting students involved. To date we've been to Exeter, Nottingham, Aston, Birmingham, NTU, King's College London, Queen Mary's University London, Leeds, UCL, Edinburgh and Bristol universities, and many more!
