For my year abroad I went to: Porto, Portugal
While I was there I: Taught in a secondary school.
Five words to describe my year away are: Cheap, rainy, comfy, drunken, unforgettable.
My top tips for anyone going there are: Learning to eat tripe, the local delicacy, without grimacing.
The cleverest people find accommodation: In newspaper ads.
Don't leave without: Your sense of humour.
The best night out is: Caipirissimas in Maus Habitos, then dancing in Plano B.
When your parents visit: Take them to the gardens of the Serralves Museum.
My favourite lunch place: Cufra for francesinhas, in Matosinhos.
My best place for a hot date: The Clérigos clock-tower.
On a Sunday: Stay in bed.
If you want to fit in quickly, you should: Learn to speak Portuguese!
