This is an RSAnimate illustration of Steven Pinker's talk on "how the mind turns the finite building blocks of language into infinite meanings". He discusses veiled bribes, requests, seductions, sollicitations and threats in an effort to explain how explicit language creates mutual knowledge... What do you think?!
