Pippi spent her year abroad in Barcelona, Spain. Read on as she fills the year abroad blanks...
My name is: PippiI'm studying: Business Management with European Study
For my year abroad I went to: Barcelona, Spain.
While I was there I: Spent the first semester studying at the university and the second semester working for a property company in Marketing.
Five words to describe my year away are: Challenging, adventurous, unique, taxing, fantastic.
My top tips for anyone going there are: To spend that extra amount of money to live somewhere you feel safe, in a nice area and somewhere you will feel relieved to come back to every night...Somewhere that before
long you can call 'home'. To take up any offers that are given to you. To split half of your time - half working and half studying...A fantastic choice for me.
The cleverest people find accommodation: Through word of mouth or spend the extra money and use an agency... I did and it worked amazingly well for me.
Don't leave without: A map and guidebook of the place you are going!
The best night out is: Razzmatazz!
When your parents visit: Cervesería Catalana, 7 Portes, Bar Mut - incredible restaurants!
My favourite lunch place: Buenas Migas Café.
My best place for a hot date: CDLC on the water front.
On a Sunday: Walk along the beach promenade and listen to the band playing near the report! Brunch at Milk Café!
The most useful website I found was: talkconmigo.com and conversationexchange.com.
If you want to fit in quickly, you should: Go on language exchanges with random people...In public places!
